Note: This speedrun strategy is extremely luck dependent, and only used for world record time speedruns. For speedrunning to kill leaderboard players, refer to the 24 minute method.
Speedrun Strategy[]
The optimal spawn time is at the very start of the day. You can scout by turning on ad blocker, and die once it turns day. Remember that in a world record speedrun attempt you are not allowed to spawn in with a kit. Once you spawn in, quickly craft a hatchet. Before it is crafted, punch some trees for wood. After, use the hatchet to gather wood for a spear. You will need to find and kill 2 radioactive ghouls for their uranium. Also collect 4 fat if you find a boar and sulfur from a fridge if you see them. If you do not manage to find 2 radioactive ghouls before they disappear, reset, and try again when it turns day. Otherwise, look for an armored ghoul to kill for an alloy, and levels for dynamite. If you find another armored ghoul, kill it. Head over to the metal house with 6 couches, it will be your best friend. Also craft a workbench. Quickly head in, break the computer, craft a research bench. Then break two couches for string, and break the safe too. Then craft the 2 dynamite. Break 3 more couches, and gather 80 wood and 20 stone for a weaving machine. Once that is done, craft a radiation mask and a stone pickaxe. While your things are crafting, and if you haven't already, look for a second armored ghoul to kill for a sulfur pickaxe. Otherwise, craft the sulfur pickaxe right after the dynamite is done. Go get the big wires using the stone pickaxe and 2 dynamite. Also get 8 gasoline and 14 junk on the way to getting tesla. Note that you will only have time to grab 6 wires and not 8. Position yourself at the bottom of the bottom left big computer, when the dynamite explodes run in an upside down L shape to grab the top left computer and top right computer parts, and then run out. Head back, and sulfur pickaxe should be done. Craft a smelter, and gather 6 more uranium. Smelter should be done, and cook 2 uranium, then go get materials for 14 alloys. Once you are back, cook 4 alloys and then craft the tesla bench. Cook 6 shaped uranium and 10 more alloys, then place the tesla bench and you should barely have laser submachine at 18 minutes.
