Description[]
Ghoul mode is an official game mode released in June 2019.
In this mode, players will start playing as devasters. They have 8 to create a base, search alliance, collect items from abandoned houses, and mine resources. After the deadline, it becomes night and the players who died during that time will reappear as ghouls. Players entering the gamemode after this time will also spawn as ghouls.
The ghouls' goal is to kill all devasters. The Devaster's goal is to survive long as possible. When the ghouls have killed all devasters, the server will restart. Ghoul players can then play as devasters again. The restart takes one minute and you can´t start a game during this time. Be patient and keep pressing the "Start Game" buttons so that you can start your game as early as possible.
If You are a Devaster: Survive as long as you can
If You are a Ghoul: You can be a Normal Ghoul, Fast Ghoul, Explosive Ghoul, Radioactive Ghoul, or an Armored Ghoul, and you must kill everyone

- You can play as a devaster or a Ghoul.
- In this mode, XP bonuses are multiplied. Resource collection is multiplied by 2 as well.
- There is a 2.5 crafting speed multiplier
- The last five devasters are shown on the map for ghouls and updates every once in a while, (like how savage players are shown on the map in other game modes.
- Ghouls can get exp by punching trees, food bushes and killing players, but cannot craft or unlock skills.
Tips for Devaster[]
- Don't go out and look for people to kill unless you have a base with at least 15 LapaBots or you are only cutting down on your own time to prepare defenses. The more devasters you kill, the harder it becomes for survival
- You need more LapaBots than you would in survival mode, as ghouls do more damage to buildings in ghoul mode.
- You can rush to level 18 and respawn with metal tools before the 8 minute timer ends.
-Depending on which server you play on, weapons may or may not help. If you are playing on the EU server, even a laser submachine may not save you if you are not using a low wall base. Prioritize a HAL or Lapa base.
-Do not go out and melee attack ghouls if there are more than 3 outside.
-Kill armored ghouls during the day, as they are a big threat towards your base.
-A base is almost entirely necessary to survive long.
-When you are building a base, makesure the doors open towards the inside: You do not want ghouls to trap you inside your base by standing in the way of the doors.
-Do not place long crafting stations like the Research Bench, Smelter, or Tesla Bench flat against the wall, it will make it impossible to repair some of the walls behind it.
- The ghouls in ghoul mode have slightly more health compared to those in survival mode. For example, a laser sniper will not one shot kill a fast ghoul or explosive ghoul in ghoul mode, even though it does in survival mode.
Tips for Ghouls[]
- Normal Ghoul is useless because it doesn't have a special ability. You can suicide by hitting barrels or attacking devasters until you spawn with a good ghoul like an armored ghoul or radioactive ghoul. You can also just exit the game, go to another server so that your account is erased, then go back to the Ghoul Mode so you respawn as another Ghoul.
- Fast Ghoul is good for finding the devaster's bases because it is fast both night and day. At night, the fast ghoul is an excellent hunter and hindrance when devasters are on the run. Make room for the fast ghoul to catch up with the devaster when it is chasing it. If armed devaster is on the run but you cannot kill him alone, then prevent him from building campfire. Try destroy campfire. Make him die in the cold. You can also annoy devasters very well. You hitt the walls, and when the devaster with axe approaches you, leave. Lure him out of the base. When he again runs into the base, hit the wall again. Irritation prevents thinking
- Explosive Ghouls should stand at the door. If the devaster opens the door, enter the base and create chaos. You can't kill devasters in a short time, but you can destroy craft stations like the Smelter, Tesla Bench, or Firepit if you just stand nearby and explode. You don't have to be afraid of death because you are a terrorist. The explosive ghoul can also be a good hunter. One has to be as close to a devaster as possible and constantly hit him. If the devaster has ~60% life or lower and he kills you, then he dies with the explosion. If the devaster is hiding in an abandoned house, then you can hit a barrel and start a double explosion on the wall of the house. Walls can then be destroyed more quickly this way.
- Radioactive ghoul is very useful when standing behind a wall. Any devaster without radiation protection will have a hard time repairing walls. You can also hunt devasters without hitting them. When there are other ghouls nearby, it will be difficult for the devaster to kill you.
- Armored Ghoul is the most useful Ghoul and the most dangerous. If you are one, then you are very lucky and should play smartly. You are the best at breaking walls and killing devasters quickly. You don't have to be afraid when devasters shoot at you with pistols. Let them waste their ammo. When there are other ghouls nearby, there is nothing to worry about. If the day is coming, then get far away from the devasters.
- Give room for Armored Ghouls so they can break walls. The more Armored Ghouls, the faster you break into the base. If danger comes for the Armored Ghoul, don't block him so that he can escape and heal. If the armored in danger, protect him.
- Lapa Bases are not indestructible. Find a corner of the base and hit it together with an Armored Ghoul. This corner is only repaired by a few lapabots, even if there are thousands. When this corner falls apart, then you can deal damage to the lapabots at the corner. When all the lapabots are destroyed, then you can break the walls. Unfortunately, few people know this trick, so cooperating is the hardest part. This corner must hit at least 3 armored ghoul, otherwise it won't work. The more ghouls hit this block, the better (theoretically, you can set it so that 9 ghouls hit this corner). It is important that the damage is greater than robots that can repair this block. Therefore, in general, free up the corner for armored ghoul if you want to restart
- Ghouls suffer from poor visibility and they can't unlock skills like vision. You can press F12 and your view will increase vision to level 2 or higher. This is a better way to watch on Devasters.
- Inform other ghouls about the location of the devasters using coordinates. The more ghouls know, the harder it becomes for devasters.
- Kill beginners first to have more ghouls and kill pro devasters later. This strategy is good in that it reduces the number of devasters and in the end, you will see the last 5 devasters on the map. It will be extremely difficult for them to survive.
