Explosive Ghoul

Summary

The Explosive Ghoul is a ghoul with a special property in the game. It appears in both survival and ghoul mode, and this ghoul will explode, dealing around half of a devasters health worth of damage to its surroundings. It can damage your walls faster than a Normal Ghoul, as it does the same damage each punch as a normal ghoul but it hits slightly faster. The explosive ghoul has the lowest amount of health out of all ghouls, being 80. It does 20 damage per hit at night and 6 at day. Similar to all ghouls, it will start to die when it turns day. Once killed, it will drop Sulfur, Junk and Animal Fat.

Tips against the Explosive Ghoul

• You can kill the explosive ghoul with a Metal Axe and have little health left, however be careful, as this will leave you as an easy target for the next ghouls to come.
• Do not kill this ghoul inside your base, or it might destroy your Research Bench, Firepits, or Workbench.
• If one spawns inside your base in the night while it is still not aggressive against you, let it out the base so it will not explode your crafting stations when it turns day.
• If you do not have a gun, you can use a spear to get it to a low health. After the spear hit it will be one shot to a metal axe.

Tips as the Explosive Ghoul (Ghoul Mode)

• You output the second most dps to buildings in ghoul mode. Use this to your advantage while raiding bases.
• When exploding a barrel, stand next to the wall, so when the barrel explodes your explosion will also damage the wall, creating a double explosion doing even more damage.
• When a devaster shoots ghouls, stay safe behind cover. If the devaster kills you, your explosion will kill several other ghouls.
• It is useful to trap players inside houses opened by automatic doors, as you can stand in the automatic door and as soon as the devaster kills you, the explosion will break the cables, trapping the devaster.
